God Always Gets the Glory in the End

“The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.” -Proverbs 16:4

Make no mistake, God wills for every man to be saved: that is His desire. Scripture says that the Lord is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Yet, whether a man is saved, or damned, God will get the glory.

If a person is saved, it glorifies God’s mercy.

If a person is damned, it glorifies God’s judgment.

In the end, everything and everyone will glorify God. Some will gladly glorify Him because of His Son’s sacrifice on the cross, obtaining mercy in the day of His wrath. Others will glorify Him in the midst of their weeping and gnashing of teeth, showing the power and judgment of God, and their rewards for rejecting His gospel.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” -Philippians 2:10-11

The Bible says that the righteous shall shine like the stars in heaven; yet the wicked shall be burned in the lake of fire. Both will be a blaze of glory for God: the choice is in how we will glow for God. Which one would you rather chose?
